c.s lewis song - brooke fraser

If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
I can only conclude that I was not made for here
If the flesh that I fight is at best only light and momentary,
then of course I'll feel nude when to where I'm destined I'm compared

Speak to me in the light of the dawn

Mercy comes with the morning

I will sigh and with all creation groan

As I wait for hope to come for me

Am I lost or just less found?
On the straight or on the roundabout of the wrong way?

is this a soul that stirs in me,
is it breaking free, wanting to come alive?

Cos my comfort would prefer for me to be numb
And avoid the impending birth of who I was born to become

For we, we are not long here
Our time is but a breath, so we better breathe it
And I, I was made to live,
I was made to love,
I was made to know you

Hope is coming for me

Hope is coming for me

Hope is coming for me

Hope is coming for me

I love this particular sentences. Personally I can relate to this. That there is something in us that says that we don't belong here on earth. Maybe it's just an illusion, but we'll never know until we die. Maybe that's what faith is about.

The last sunday I listened to a sermon from a activist-priest, Father Paulino Miranda at the Church of Divine Mercy in Shah Alam, he talked about how people should live their lives by loving God with all your strength and spirit and love your neighbour as you love yourself. He pointed out that communism or extreme socialism places too much emphasis on 'loving your neighbour as you love yourself' limb of the rule. How capitalism emphasize "love thyself of the limb".

He said that the two sentences that Jesus said to have sum up the whole Jewish Law, are meant to be taken together, and not read in isolation. Is this too much for you? Hehe, you should know by now that I'm like that. But what I want to share with you and what I invite you to think is, what would our community like if we all practice "love God with all your strength, mind, soul and spirit, and love your neighbour as you love yourself"?

hey daniel thanks for dropping by. yeah i love the first 2 sentences of the song too! all in all the whole lyrics mean a lot to me.

haha i dont believe that it is an illusion, i believe it is true. there is something deep within us wanting more than this world could give. and to me, only something out of this world can satisfy that hunger. =)

Thanks!!!
