Sunday Questions #1

For a long time i've always wanted to answer just random questionnaires and i shall do this tonight. got this off Amarixe, one of my favourite beauty bloggers out there.

1.) Mood:
Feeling somewhat...numb, thinking of the amount of work i have to go through for the next three weeks - traveling, workshops and presentations and then I'm flying back to Miri for a short teeny break! Ok for that, i can't wait!!!

2.) Did you do anything fun this weekend?
We watched Snow White & The Huntsman on Friday night (that is the beginning of weekend right???) and on Saturday-serviced my car, cooked some nice beef stew for lunch (& dinner) and attended Saturday evening church service. And today, i did some "volume-straightening" treatment to my hair!!! It all started from Groupon having this coupon for hair relaxing, which was what i initially wanted to do but the lady at the salon highly recommended this "volume-straightening" thing cause my hair is so little and flat and all that. i had to pay extra for this treatment; over and above what i paid in Groupon, shall see what difference does it really make...otherwise i think they just made me pay for the full price of hair relaxing :(

3.) What is the closest object to you that is pink?
Indah Water bill, haha!

4.) Current nail polish:
None

5.) If you could snap your fingers and be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

New York! Owh what does it take for me to be there!!!

6.) Current outfit:

I love Bali t-shirt and leggings. The usual house costume.

7.) What is the last movie you saw in theaters?

Snow White & the Huntsman - imho, such a waste of talents!

8.) If you could only be one age for the rest of your life, which would you choose, and why?

I dont want to answer this question :D

9.) When is the last time you played on a swing set?

Cant remember at all!

10.) Weekly goals:

For this week? To not freak myself out about work and to put God, above work.

Goodnight - i tag YOU!

An orange a day...

...accompanies the blue pretty well!

My current fav cardigan from Zara-i might have just tortured and over-worn it already but how can I not when its such a pretty blooming perk me up hello sunshine colour?!

Statement ring, literally!

Found this ring during my recent trip to Tioman and it is the coolest, most unique piece of jewellery i have ever seen and own.

A ring made out of a sea shell, straight up!

However, the workmanship and uniqueness doesn't do as much justice when worn.

It can still be a conversation starter - just take it off to show then!

Have a blessed week xx

Not sure about neon?

Start subtly.

Neons work well with greys, neutrals and denims.

A habit I'm proud of

Hi! Currently experiencing jetlag and whilst cleaning up the mess from unpacking...realised I picked up quite a habit of segregating 'rubbish', ie unused paper products.

I do this in the office too, having an empty box behind my desk to just store unused paper products instead of throwing them together into the general rubbish bin.

I'll dispose them in a paperbag like how I normally dispose rubbish but at least its clearly segregated. Anyone who needs that extra cash from recycling can pick it up eh?

Beach calling!

I am so excited just to head out to Tioman next week. Such a needed break from the city life. It is sad that there are only shopping malls to hang out at in KL :(

Found these string bikinis at Forever 21 at such an amazingggg price - RM19 for top or bottom which makes it only RM38 per set! How cool is thattttt?

They come in a wide range of colours including what's hot right now, neons! I picked a deep baby blue, bright pink and dark green. Material is thick, comes with padding and everything a normal string bikini is. For the price, colour choices & quality - this is def a steal. Normally its not easy to get me to purchase swimwear mind you...too expensive IMHO - just for that little piece of cloth... :p

So go check 'em out! This is definitely not a sponsored post - pic quality will tell :)

xx have a blessed day!

...Dear future husband,

A vanity mirror and drawers with the right lighting will make me a happy woman and you know how important that is right?

Butters you can freely consume without guilt!

Revlon Lip Butters of course!

I "collected" six out of the eight colours we have on our shores; although i mentioned in a previous post that i'm not keen on some colours but behold; as usual, i caved in and i'm extremely happy i did!

The two colours that i don't have are Peach Parfait & Macaroon - both with shimmers. That, can wait. And apparently Macaroon is a UK edition colour-not available in US (like finally - something that is not available in US!)

My favourite is descending order would be (and how they appear on my lips):
1. Cherry Tart - Bright red
2. Fig Jam - Dark brown; very polished look
3. Lollipop - Bright purplish pink
4. Strawberry Shortcake - Baby pink but doesn't wash me out
5. Sugar Plum - Slightly dark plum with pink
6. Brown Sugar - Frosty light brown

I rotate Strawberry Shortcake, Sugar Plum & Brown Sugar on a daily basis as they are very wearable for work - just enough colour for the lips. My three top favs are kinda in-the-face type of colour - very pigmented - which makes them really awesome. These lip butters work really well for me and they are in fact the reason why i wear lipstick everyday now!

Slight note though - nothing bad but their 'buttery' texture does get used up pretty fast. Below picture is of Strawberry Shortcake after just one day - about three applications?! That went down really fast! And its not like i was swatching it like crazy back and forth on the lips like how many people apply lipsticks...i'm kinda dainty and careful :p Small lips - no choice!

Thank God they are part of Revlon's permanent line. Heard Loreal has a product to match this; cant wait for that to get on our shores too!

Have a great week ahead & be blessed xx
